Byte Ocean Software ("we", "our", or "us") operates the BlueOrbit mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data collection and usage when you use our App.

1. No Collection of Personal Data

We believe in absolute data privacy and data minimization.

• No Personal Information: The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or account details.
• No Account Required: You can use all features of the App without creating an account or logging in.

2. Location Data (Optional & Offline)

To calculate the elevation, azimuth, and passes of Iridium satellites relative to your current position, the App requires access to your device's location services.

• On-Device Processing Only: Your location data (latitude, longitude, and altitude) is processed strictly locally on your device.
• No Transmission: Your location data is never transmitted to our servers, shared with third parties, or stored by us.
• Control: You can enable or disable location access at any time via your device's system settings. If disabled, you can still use the App by manually entering coordinates.

3. Data Storage and Offline Functionality

The App is designed to function primarily offline. All satellite orbital tracking calculations, TLE (Two-Line Element) data parsing, and tracking logs are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.

4. Third-Party Services

• App Stores: When you download and update the App through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, those platforms may collect analytics and performance data according to their own privacy policies. We only receive aggregated, anonymous telemetry data (e.g., crash reports and download statistics) provided by the platform operators.
• No Trackers: We do not include third-party advertising frameworks, analytics SDKs, or social media trackers in the App.

Iridium is a registered trademark of Iridium Satellite LLC. BlueOrbit is an independent utility application developed by Byte Ocean Software and is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or recognized by Iridium Satellite LLC.
